In Australia and America onion dip is made by combining packet French Onion soup with sour cream, plus lemon juice or vinegar. It's stronger and zestier than the Kiwi-Style Onion Dip. But the packet soup contains beef and wheat products and, needless to say, the sour cream is no good for lactose intollerant, or cruelty-intollerant people. Porpy & Pinky spent a lot of time trying to come up with a vegan alternative and they did it.
